Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), San Antonio, Texas 78207 (1983-2020)

  • Brought the West Patrol substation on-line supporting a high-degree efficiency

  • Commanded and collaborated with one captain, three lieutenants, and six sergeants, in addition to CID detectives, SCORE deputies and fleet maintenance personnel

  • Influential and effectively commanded a newly created Strategic Operations Division that included: SWAT Negotiations, Traffic Safety Unit, K-9, Judicial Services, Felony Apprehension Unit (FAU), CID Unit, Mental Health Unit (MHU) and executive officer (captain)

  • Managed the daily operations and budgets for the Strategic Operations Division formed of approximately 125 officers and 30 civilians

Lieutenant (2007-2017)

 

  • Effectively organized and collaborated in high-profile case (June 2011) with SWAT team, in addition with the support of other law enforcement agencies; DPS, FBI, and many units within BCSO for purposes of executing the warrant and arrest of a capital murder suspect of a Bexar County Sergeant

  • Responsible for the command of units under Special Operations: Street Crimes, Directive Patrol, Crime Prevention, Crisis Intervention, K-9, Honor Guard, SWAT, and Negotiations Team

  • Served on the Bexar County Vehicle Replacement Committee (16 Years)

  • Served as the Body Armor Administrator (23 years) responsible for recommendations of body armor for Constables, District Attorney Investigators, Bexar County Fire Marshals and Juvenile Probation Officers

  • Constructed effective liaisons with federal agencies: Homeland Security Investigation (HSI), Federal Bureau Investigations (FBI), and Drugs Enforcement Administration (DEA) in collaboration on street crime prevention

  • Commanded overall duties for the East Patrol substation night shift operations. Transferred to and commanded West Patrol substation day shift operations (Sea World).

  • Commanded duties for SWAT/negotiations team (2006)
